KATO KT-800D Buoy

KATO KT-800D/KT-800S satellite buoy, which is designed for long liners and purse seiners, aims to improve the productivity and efficiency of tuna fishing. It can be tied around the mainline, driftwood or any floats to provide the real-time data to the fishing vessels.

Moreover, it can also be manipulated in other purposes, such as monitoring ocean current, coastline, and even mud flow. We keep investigating other possible applications of KT 800D/KT-800S and welcome you any further discussion with us.

KATO KT-800D/KT-800S satellite buoy includes a built-in SkyWave's DMR-800D series IsatM2M terminals with industry standard to provide highly reliable satellite communications with low total cost. This terminal is Skywave's latest product, and it provides new applications for satellite communication by means of high quality INMARSAT IsatM2M and D+ networks.

Besides D+ transceiver, the KT-800D/KT-800S buoy is equipped with GPS, solar panel with rechargeable battery, a temperature sensor, a powerful LED flashlight and magnetic switch.

KATO KT-800D/KT-800S satellite buoy installed a radio receiving antenna is the only one in the world. It can be called to report the real-time position and information by the radio calling transmitter on the mother vessel while the distance between buoys and vessel less than 30 nautical miles. It can save the satellite transmission cost and battery power.

KATO KT-800D/KT-800S reception system includes an Inmarsat Mini C, GPS receiver, an industrial PC and reliable software interface (VESSELTRC) under Windows which is specially developed to process data transmitted by KT-800D/KT-800S buoys. Once the system receives the data from the buoys (Buoy ID, Longitude and Latitude of buoys, water temperature, remaining battery voltage, UTC time), it will display the data automatically on the PC where you could save previous records and compute the data you need.

There are two ways to receive data from buoys. Normally, the data are forwarded to the mother vessel by Inmarsat Mini C e-mail. If the Mini C system fails, you can use any high speed data communication equipment such as Iridium, F77, F33, Mini M to log in our server in order to get information.

KATO KT-800D/KT-800S satellite buoy can be set to give reports for every 2,4,8,12 or 24 hours via the command from the control center. Each satellite buoy's data can be shared by different vessels via the management software in their company PC.
